Transformational music festivals from across the world are gathering next year for the Total Solar Eclipse that will be spanning across certain regions of the northern United States. A total of 9 revered festivals will be collaborating and coming together to put on a seven day long festival, Global Eclipse Gathering, during August 17th-23rd. On August 21st the Total Solar Eclipse will occur, meaning the moon will be perfectly in line where it blocks out the sun. Luckily this festival will be held in the path of totality, where this Total Solar Eclipse will be most visible and will go dark in daylight (see map below for visual of the path of totality.) The gathering will be located on a private ranch, “Big Summit Prairie” in the Ochoco National Forest in Oregon. This ranch is the perfect location for this gathering in more than one way! Not only does it fall in the path of totality for the Total Solar Eclipse, but this ranch has 55,000 acres with “flat campgrounds, forested areas, and a 52 acre lake.” On top of that, the closest neighbor is 16 miles away giving leeway for louder music and longer hours.
With this Total Solar Eclipse only being in North America, Festival Organizers from around the world are coming together to put in motion one of the best festivals ever. This festival that will be on Big Summit Prairie is going to be put together by 9 different, yet similar festival productions. Each festival is unique and different than the other due to their location, with different art, acts, audience and musical tastes. Yet, they all have expressive and creative electronic music, tons of art, unique stage production, stage/fire performers and of course, positive vibes. Each festival also has a collective consciousness on respecting and celebrating nature and life. They all have tons of workshops promoting better health, a stronger mind ,and truly finding yourself. This is done by motivational speakers, educational speakers, and workshops such as yoga, permaculture, visionary and performing arts, and much more. Global Eclipse Gathering will be a beautiful melting pot of all the different cultures that these festivals represent. Coming from all around the world, it will be certain that this festival will have major influences from all of the festival organizers that are coming together. The festivals that are coming together for Global Eclipse Gathering are; Bass Coast Festival (Canada), Envision Festival (Costa Rica), Noisily Festival of Music and Arts (UK), Festival Ometeotl (Mexico), Origin Festival (S. Africa), Rainbow Serpent Festival (Australia), Re:birth Festival (Japan), Symbiosis Gathering (California), and Universo Paralello Festival (Brazil)! With so much diversity in the festivals and them coming together to be one, the amount of detailed and beautiful art, both visual and musical will be unlike any other festival we have ever seen.
