*BREAKING NEWS* 1st Bank Center Voted by City Council to Close Doors by Nov. 30th

Coming in hot from the Local news in Denver, the renowned and rather popular venue, 1st Bank Center, has been voted to close the doors permanently by November 30th this year and to be torn down and Demo’d by next year. THIS IS HUGE. A massive attraction that not only brings in multitudes of artists and bands but as well as other events, has been opted out and the music scene in the Mile High will be affected. From 9News, “City council said the 6,500-seat event center never reached its full potential in hosting sporting events, concerts and other events since opening in late 2006. The arena never made a profit, city council members said Tuesday night.” Despite selling out multiple electronic music events, the venue was booked to be doomed. Read more in the 9News article below. Some of our favorite moments from the 1st Bank Center were in the earlier days with Grizmatik in 2013, the multiple Excision runs, Zeds Dead, and then the recent Ganja White Night, two night run. We wish we could have seen the spectacle of The String Cheese Incident bringing in the new year there. But now with that venue gone, the options change and we are here to see what will happen.
