Backwoods Festival '23 Artist Spotlight: Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

The weeks are starting to mesh together in anticipation for Backwoods Music Festival that is a little over a month away! Happening from April 20th to the 23rd at the epic Mulberry Mountain, Backwoods is set to rock the music park for one of their biggest and best years yet! The lineup is absolutely packed with artists that we love and deeply appreciate! We tend to stick to covering genres within electronic music but we absolutely love the jams from live bands! So for this artist spotlight we are ‘shredding’ some light on the jams that offer a nice change up to EDM. One band that we have been following for a hot minute is a group of musicians that we think are an absolute party and a hell of a time to see at a festival is Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. This 4 piece band from Maryland is an interesting and ever so groovy jam band as their jams tends to be more catered to psychedelic funk. Especially after their latest studio album release, Perspective. This uplifting and very funkadelic album is just a little taste of what can be expected with their set at Backwoods this year! We hope to hear some classics of theirs of albums Psychology or Pleasure! We haven’t seen these folks for a while and to see them again after all this time with the accomplishments that they have achieved since then. . . it just is going to be a super special set at a magical festival and we couldn’t be more stoked for it! It’ll be a delight to see when and where they are playing.
