Backwoods Music Festival is Gonna Rock Mulberry Mountain Away on 4/20 Weekend

Coming back to the majestic music park at Mulberry Mountain in Arkansas, Backwoods Music Festival announced a POPPIN’ lineup that happens to go from 4/20 to 4/23 of next year! (Check the image above for the full, updated phase one announcement!) If the outstanding music lineup wasn’t reason enough to go, add in that it will be a ganja filled weekend with amazing arts, gnarly festival vibes on top of one the most renowned music festival sites in our nation, and you’ll be out camping in a BEAUTIFUL location that offers an unique break from reality. Mulberry Mountain is nested in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and while it is kind of out in the middle of no where, it is such a perfect location for a shared experience of music, arts, and community!

Backwoods Music festival did an absurdly amazing job with mashing genres together for their ’23 lineup. So far, all that is announced are 4 main headliner acts for each day with a bangin’ phase one lineup giving the festival its true diverse feel. Going from Thursday to Sunday, the headliners are; Big Gigantic, Lettuce, The String Cheese Incident (w/ 2 sets and a late night acoustic-taco party,) and the Floozies ending it out. The rest of the lineup kind of branches off of that with electronic dance music acts, jam bands, and the unique acts that are odd blends of both.

As always Backwoods brings some of the best live music from jam bands and artists who shred instruments live and some of those names that we are super stoked for are; Andy Frasco & the U.N., Boogie T.rio, Keller Williams, Papadosio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, SoDown, and Sunsquabi! Of course the headliners are some of our most anticipated acts too, but thats a given. Now the electronic music section is where backwoods gets real interesting. They have an amazing blend of vast experimental bass music with acts such like; G-Rex, Lucii, Of the Trees, Flintwick, Super Future, The Polish Ambassador and Zingara. Then they have various styles of dubstep with producers such as; Boogie T, Flintwick, Dirt Monkey, and Tisoki. Then they have a couple of odd balls that will be sure to rock the grounds of Mulberry; One True God – who will be offering dark mid-tempo electro and techno vibes, Jason Leech – who blew up from viral videos of covering EDM songs on a gnarly midi / electric piano, Apashe – who plays epic trap with aspects of orchestra influenced throughout his production, and quite possibly my most anticipated act, Koan Sound – who are a duo from England that perform some of the brightest and wonkiest styles of drum and bass with so many different styles throughout their work, liquid, glitch-hop, experimental, and neurofunk, but truthfully they have their own one of a kind sound that can be recognized instantly from any EDM lover!

We have a massive playlist with over 125 songs from artists playing at this years backwood live on SoundCloud, check it out below and get to know some of the music coming to Mulberry mountain this year!
