Kursa w/ Reso & VCTRE Rip Apart Atlanta [Event Review]

Kursa’s highly anticipated debut US tour made its dirty south stop in Atlanta’s Aisle 5 on August 1st, 2018. Many underground bass music fans have been eagerly awaiting Kursa’s trip to the US as he has been catching extreme attention in the past couple of years. With his captivating sound design and intense beats, he has created a unique sound unlike anyone else. If Kursa wasn’t enough adding Reso and one of our personal favorites VCTRE as support this was a must-see show, which sold out almost immediately.

VCTRE started the night off in perfect form. He began his set off with some crisp low-end dubstep to get the crowd warmed up. As always his mixing style transitioned songs fluently keeping the crowd captivated by the flow of his set. As the set continued VCTRE brought the energy up with some more uptempo heavier beats. Transitioning the crowd from head nods to a straight bounce fest. Also, dropping some unreleased tunes that have us excited for his upcoming releases.

Up next was Reso, which like Kursa was our first opportunity to see him perform live. Reso continued the high energy with a different vibe. Dropping some nasty drum and bass which really got the crowd’s blood flowing. Overall we were a HUGE fan of Reso’s set and hope to be able to see more of him soon.

Kursa closed out the night in stunning form. Playing in front of a sold-out crowd it was clear who everyone had been waiting for. Kursa wasted no time as his set immediately started out HEAVY with some fat beats. Kursa dropped a variety of his tracks ranging from more head-nodding beats to his heavier iconic neuro style. Kursa’s sporadic mixing style kept the crowd on their toes as there seemed to be no boundaries to where he was going to take the set. It was a joy to see the whole crowd grooving in unison to such a sought after show.
