Within 4 days, the debut of the new venue location for future Relentless Beats events begins. The Park at WildHorse Pass is having its grand opening with the massive Phoenix Lights Festival. With world renowned headliners such as Gucci Mane, Diplo, Travis Scott, Seven Lions, Gramatik, Zomboy, and a couple of others, Phoenix Lights Festival is looking like they will have their biggest year yet. The headliners are always a must see at a festival like this, but who are some of the support acts that you have to catch to get the full Phoenix Lights Experience? Day one

#1 – ATLiens


The duo are taking the scene by surprise with their intense sound production and unique theme, ATLiens is showcasing trap in a whole new way. Using vocals in a unique chopping manner, ATLiens has the hashtag “Science” as their song descriptions, and it matches oh so perfectly. When you listen to these guys you will hear all the different frequencies that these guys throw down. They have recently released their first EP, Invasion. In addition to that, they have collaborated with one of the heavyweight producers in the scene, Bassnectar, on their track “Interlock.” With these guys on the up and coming, it won’t be long until they join the ranks of the headliners. You won’t want to miss this.

#2 – Beats Antique Dj Set

California love and creativity embodies this group of musicians that are known as, Beats Antique. This trio produces an energetic and unique sound that is like a jammy, funky, take on bass heavy ‘circus’ music. Inspired by Middle Eastern Belly Dance, Blues, Jazz, and various electronic music, Beats Antique might have one of the most diverse realms of music to be heard. Especially playing as a DJ set, the opportunity for changing it up is high and we can only anticipate one hell of a crazy party from these beautiful souls.

#3 – Joyryde

“Hey Joyryde, stick this beat in reverse!” One of the producers sweeping the scene with his bass house dankness, Joyryde is taking us on a crazy ride of experimental house music. House music with a little bit more bass than usual and some grimy samples, Joyryde takes the classy house beat and turns it into a party. Being in Arizona, where oh so many people love this style of music, Joyryde is going to take the audience for one hell of a journey!

#4 – Minnesota 

This exotic bass producer has been slaying the scene with his futuristic grimy sounds and beautiful sound design. Minnesota is coming to the desert with his recent EP that just released – Curio. With the definition of Curio being: the beginning of a story. The discovery of an ancient artifact that begins a new journey… you can bet your bottom dollar that this will be an artist that you CAN NOT MISS!

Day 2

 

#1 – Krane

Up and coming trap producer, Krane has been taking many by surprise with his pristine sound production. His samples have a clarity in it where when the 808 bass hits, it just feels right. Krane recently put out an EP which has been popping off! With the success on his EP, he has put out a collaboration EP of remixes of his songs, which I am sure we will hear a nasty mash-up of it all. This will be a showcase you don’t want to miss!

#2 – MK

Marc Kinchen – this Pioneer for American techno music has been one of the acts keeping the scene strong for years on end. His massive success in techno music has led his name, MK to become a worldwide known name in the clubs and at festivals across the world. Coming from Detroit, MK will showcase his expertise as the 2nd to last act on the Colony stage, which is solely dedicated to house and techno music!

#3 – Kasbo 

Another up and coming artist on the must-see, but this one is from Sweden. Kasbo, this young producer has swept the scene with the feels. He has put out several beautiful remixes and original songs that have become instant classics. He produces future bass which is the electronic genre that is popping off the hardest right now in the states. Being from Sweden and having inspirations from all over the world, Kasbo has the unique touch to his sound that makes his music a must see. Make sure to catch him on the main stage in the early hours of Sunday afternoon to get the full Phoenix Lights experience!

#4 – Umek

Who is Umek? Well, he is one of the renowned – underground – tech artists. Does that make sense? It doesn’t need to. He will be closing out the Colony stage which is dedicated to house and techno music. Here you will find the best of vibes to the grooviest of beats. This is where you will want to end the party for the Sunday of the festival.
