Envision Festival in Costa Rica Announces 2018 Music, Yoga and Workshops Lineups

Envision Festival has announced their much anticipated first round lineup for the February 2018 gathering in beautiful Uvita, Costa Rica. With a versatile assortment of artists ranging from impassioned singer/songwriter Xavier Rudd, to Glitch-Hop Goddess, CloZee, it is sure to be another amazing year of music in the jungle for the 8th annual Envision.

Aside from music, Envision strives to form an event that is as much about having a good time as it is about learning and growing. In the spirit of this thirst for knowledge and community they have also revealed their first round lineup for their world class yoga and workshop programs with talks and teachings by activist Winona LaDuke, astronomer Kaypacha, and Bioneers co-founder Nina Simons. Envision has elements of art, sound and thought to entertain and touch nearly every side of anyone on a quest for a raw and enlightening festival experience.

Situated on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Envision offers one of the most exotic and alluring concert settings on the planet. With colorful rainforest in view and a waterfall just a short drive away, Envision has 4 gorgeously handcrafted stages and exquisite venue, all parallel to the ocean and only separated by a small screen of trees. A not to miss portion of the Envision experience is the daily congregation of festival goers on the beach and along the coast for the sunset each evening. Family and friends alike all gathered to bid farewell to the day and welcome a night full of new promise and possibilities. You could search the world over and be hard pressed to find many events that provide such a raw and collective trans-formative moment for all involved. A great natural symbolism for the shedding of the old and welcoming of the new that is important to any happy and peaceful existence. Furthering Envision’s overall mission to help create a better world and society through new ideas, art, workshops, yoga, meditation and the universal power of music that transcend barriers and unites us.

Another not to miss part of Envision 2018 will without a doubt be Random Rab’s sunrise set as he returns to Central America for his 8th Envision performance. It is a rare occurrence in life that a musician, stage, event and set time match up so perfectly as does Random Rab with sunrise on the Luna Stage at Envision. The magic and emotion that he and the crowd create is something that must be experienced to be believed. A great accumulation of the whole of everyone that made it through the heat of the day, the setting of the sun on the beach, and fire of the night only to witness it all come back around with the sunrise and another reminder of the beauty of this life and the planet we share.

We at The Chronic Electronic are really excited to see masterful duo Desert Dwellers making their return to Envision! Earlier this year, in Colorado at sister festival Sonic Bloom, we covered their special show Desert Dwellers: Beyond and it was an unforgettable expression of performance art, dance and music. We cant wait to see what they have in store for us next February in Costa Rica with countless more world class fire and stage performers by their sides.

Also on the line up which is bringing attention to the impeccable talent that will be coming to Envision are some producers and DJ’s such as Dimond Saints, CloZee, Mike Wallis, and Whitebear. Dimond Saints, made up of Releece and An-ten-nae, produce a certain style of sound that gets the crowd moving. Hybrid Trap is what some call it or Psychedelic 808, what ever the genre is, the results are massive. Dimond Saints have been blowing up and been getting attention from massive festivals and events from all over the world. CloZee is another artist who has been blowing up with her extremely unique and take on production and DJ skills. The french producer has a beautiful taste of world electronic sounds that can relax the soul while moving the feet. Mike Wallis is a scratch artist who has worked with the infamous Dave Tipper for multiple years, including their side project, CRUNCH. Last but not least, Australian psytrance DJ, Whitebear, has been catering to crowds with a different take of psytrance as he has downtempo break downs and glitchy influence, Whitebear, among the other artists mentioned, should not be missed if attending Envision Festival.
