High caliber acts for Imagine Music Festival as they dive into Saturday festivities – and Atlanta is loving it.
As we progress through the weekend out here at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the festival and its grounds continues to expand.
Saturday marks the opening of the Imagine’s second main stage, the Amazonia Stage. Located on the West side of the infield, opposite of Oceania, this performing area does not limit itself to those performing on stage. Muralist, painters, and artists of all kinds surround the stage and surrounding areas with blank canvases that come to life as the night progresses. Saturday’s lineup at Amazonia kept people locked in for the night – JuJu Beats > Phantoms > Goldfish > Cherub > G Jones > Louis The Child. G Jones laid out some brand new tunes to the Atlanta crowd – steering away from his usual with a downtempo tune that was received favorably by all. From the three sets that The Chronic Electronic has covered in 2019, it is safe to say that G Jones is climbing his way to the top rung of the ladder in the industry.
Apart from the opening of the Amazonia Stage, Saturday brought the sweltering Atlanta sunshine, and in true Imagine fashion a Vegas-Style Pool Party commenced. The VIP event inside the speedway brought festival goers in to beat the heat and to get the party started proper – sipping cocktails and floating away their worries poolside.
Over at Oceania, the Saturday crowd experienced a wide variety of tunes. Ghastly set a properly spooky vibe into night fall, Zeds Dead brought out some massive dub tunes, and Above and Beyond tied it all together with a a serene and blissful 90 minute set for their devout following. We head into Sunday with high expectations, but faithful in Imagine’s ability to deliver.
The party is not over yet!
