The lineup for this year’s Suwannee Hulaween is absolutely incredible, bringing some of the most talented artists from all genres of music together for one hauntingly magical weekend. There is one artist in particular that we absolutely cannot wait to see return to Spirit Lake, the one and only Tipper. This man is a literal pioneer in sound design and a legend in the electronic music scene becoming involved back in the late 80’s, practically inventing the nuskool breakbeat genre. If you have been fortunate enough to have seen him before then you know exactly why this set is at the top of our must-see list and if this is going to be your first time… Well let’s just say you’re in for quite a trip.
Dave Tipper does not just create incredible music, he creates experiences unlike any other in this scene. No set you ever see this man play will be the same, each one is as distinct as a fingerprint especially considering he is quite famous for playing different styles of sets. Ranging from uptempo sets where his glitch hop roots shine to more downtempo sounds to bring out the feels and even some ambient sets for that magical sunrise vibe. He has a sound unlike anyone else and that paired with his unrivaled scratching abilities turn his live sets into these magnificent musical journeys you wish could last for an eternity. But wait.. there’s more, Tipper incorporates live visual artists to bring everything to an entirely different level. With artists such as Android Jones and Fractaled Visions it’s like for the duration of that set you’re in an entirely different universe that this team is creating. From the moment he walks on stage to the time he walks off he doesn’t say a word, he shows up blows your mind and politely exits to leaving you speechless thinking “please let there be more”.

This year Suwannee Hulaween gets the great pleasure of yet another Tipper experience, with the Halloween vibes and considering the theme this year is creatures of the galaxy things are bound to get delightfully weird.
