9 EDC Sets You Better Not Miss

The Electric Daisy Carnival is an actual gold mine when it comes to the most talented electronic artists in the world. Every single year Pasquale Rotella somehow manages to outdo himself from the ever-evolving stage production to the DJ’s that join us under the electric sky. There are bound to be set overlaps with the 8 massive stages, not to mention the glory that is the art cars roaming the speedway, but there a few gems you absolutely need to make time for. Considering how diverse the talent at this music festival is picking favorites was not an easy task, but we finally narrowed it down to 3 must-see sets for each day. Scroll through our list, check out some of their music and if you haven’t gotten a ticket yet, VIP is all that is left! You can find more info at the links at the bottom of the page!

Friday:

Pendulum (DJ Set)

These legends have fueled my love for Drum and Bass and electronic music since 2005 with their album Hold Your Colour. They could literally just play their older stuff and everyone would be on cloud nine but IT’S A DJ SET. Blast back to the origins of drum and bass music with Pendulum and get ready for one hell of a fast-paced performance. This is going to be one nostalgic next level bad ass set and the people of the Basspod are without a doubt in for a treat.

Virtual Self

Porter Robinson‘s techno-inspired alias is breathing new life into the scene, an artist pursuing something they are passionate about and believe in. Considering the endless list of masterpieces Porter has created and the resources available to him this is going to be an adventure you’ll want to tag along for. It’s going to be a hell of a techno party at the Circuit Grounds when Virtual Self takes over.

Robotaki

This guy is the perfect kind of artist to kick off this festival with a wide range of feel-good music full of beautiful vocals and beats you can’t help but dance to. He’ll be bringing all the best the vibes to the Circuit Grounds, seriously listen to one of his songs and try not to smile. Robotaki recently just released a magical new EP called “Science” just in time to bless our eardrums under the electric sky.

Saturday:

Bijou

So we heard you like ghetto house music? We do too, and with Insomniac hosting the Stereo Bloom stage Bijou is poised to take us on a gnarly house filled musical journey. The vibes are wild, the bass is dark, and the dance floors are ready and waiting for the sounds of Bijou. We certainly hope to see you there getting lost in the music.

Space Jesus

Without a doubt one of the most exciting sets to hit the Basspod, especially if you’re into that weirder stuff. Space Jesus is about to take you down the bass music rabbit hole and let’s just say you’re in for a religious experience, you might see a few things. It’s going to get hot heavy and grimy and will certainly be one of the most exciting sets of the weekend with his undeniably unique sound and wonky visuals we’re in for a treat.

Zeds Dead

Do not listen to anyone who tries to get you to see a different set when DC and Hooks are up to bat. These people are not your friends because anyone who cares about your happiness would throw their Z’s up and tell you “of course we aren’t missing Zeds Dead“. These guys always deliver something you just can’t quite get with anyone else, especially considering how deep their music library is now running Deadbeats. You never know what you’re exactly going to get but you just know you can’t wait to find out and that it will be better than you could have possibly imagined. Please do yourself a favor and catch the boys turning the Cosmic Meadow into a bass filled paradise, and remember left over right.

Sunday

Dirt Monkey

The dirtier the better is what we think here at the Chronic Electronic, and Dirt Monkey certainly lives up to his name when it comes music. This guy is making some of the wonkiest jams in the game and you can tell he’s just getting started. He’s sitting on boatloads on unreleased music just begging to turn the Stereo Bloom stage into a madhouse. If you’re looking to just get a little weird and have a stupid amount of fun you’ll want to be there for this set.

Rezz

Want a burden taken off of your shoulders? Stop on by the Circuit Grounds and have your soul snatched for free! Space Mom is about to abduct the good people of EDC and the deep dark satan ‘untz untz’ sounds will take over. It’s awfully difficult not to get lost in the near-hypnotic state her sets seem to put the audience in. Plus she’s always surprising the crowds with insane new visuals and unreleased music, it’s such a different environment compared to a lot of music we highly suggest diving into the deep end on this one.

Coone

For those of you who can handle it, Coone is a must see in the hardstyle department. Taking over the Wasteland stage lets just say you best come prepared for this one. This guy is an absolute legend when it comes to the hardstyle scene and if you want some of the heaviest most energetic beats to fuel your fire you’ll find yourself more than content raging to this madness.
