Bassnectar's 5th Year at Decadence... WTF is Going to Happen?! *Videos of Past Years Included*

Bassnectar‘s 5th anniversary at Decadence is coming up at the end of the month. It is a tradition of bringing his New Year Eve’s party at a different location (this year is in Atlanta!) each year. But this isn’t about his magical NYE Event, this is about his spectacular return to one of the biggest NYE Dance Parties in America! Decadence Colorado gets around 40,000 people throughout the weekend under one roof. With Nectar playing on the First Day, his crowd turnout is always one of the biggest crowds that you will see at Decadence. Talk about walking 15 minutes just to get to the middle of the crowd… but with this connection between the crowd and Bassnectar, it is unlike any other phenomena that you will witness. This will be my 10th time seeing Nectar over all, 5 of which will be because of Decadence. Having caught each and every minute of all 5 sets, my mind, among thousands of others has been obliterate multiple times! Each set has been completely different and exotic. His sets at Decadence are unique because he brings his renowned music but incorporates downtempo and unique songs that take ya on a crazy musical journey. Now a lot of his music has been tossed down over the past 4 years… but one that I still have NOT seen at Decadence or any other event… is his infamous remix of Ellie Goulding‘s “Lights.” So maybe we can hope that for his 5th anniversary in the City Beyond Tomorrow, The City of Lights, The City of Dreams…. we can possibly get some lights. Although, with his new EP, Reflective Part 2 on the horizon, we can definitely expect some new songs!

If you haven’t witnessed a Bassnectar throwdown at Decadence yet.. this should be your year to do it! With artists such as Space Jesus, Troyboi, and Getter (lol) playing on the same night, this will be a night to fulfil your bass-needs!
