Today the funk lovers got hit with a fresh single, “The Darkness Awaits You,” from Stone Soul in promotion for his upcoming EP, Chaos in a Land of Peace. He worked with Chicago based Musicians, Our Fathers and LWKY to get his song to have soothing vocals and extra funk added to his work. This track starts off chill and full with soul. Instruments layer this track with the perfect amount of electronic background. The vocal work from Madeline Smith of Our Fathers is beautiful and rather entrancing. Right when you get lost in the song with the impressive bass and guitar, a unique electronic synth comes in and changes it up to a future funk type of sound. Throughout the song it has detailed layers of instruments highlighted by electronic samples, scratches, and of course the beautiful vocals from Madeline. Check out his song!

Stone Soul is planning on releasing, Chaos in a Land of Peace, on April 18th, where on April 20th he will have his debut show with collab side project with LWKY, Stone Key at Hoyne Loft in Chicago. He then has three festival appearances later on where he will be sure to play off some of his new EP. One of those festivals is, Sonic Bloom, In Rye, Colorado. A perfect environment for him to play where electronic music thrives, attendees love funk, and talented musicians fill every stage.
