Shpongle
Simon Posford the brilliant man out of London, UK has been playing with peoples minds for over 15 years now with the EXTREMELY exotic and tribal glitchy sounds that he has created. He created the name Shpongle with Raja Ram, and together they have made that name known by having Simon work on the impressive studio composition, synthesizers, and live instruments, Raja is highly known for his flute skills. Raja has been in the music industry for a long time and because of that he tends to stick to studio production and when shpongle gets the live band together. Shpongle is known for how intense they break down and alter the sound of a voice samples, and collide world music to psyambient/ psytrance electronic music to make it sound glitchy and distorted but still immensely groovy. There is also a Shpongle live band that brings all the unique samples that he has to life. Whether you see the live band or him in a dj set, it is going to be a GNARLY experience, that you literally only experience during Shpongle. Their is no other music like his, either in production or live, the way he gets people moving is a special way that he has devised in his music mastering skills. So if you have not heard Shpongle’s music, YOU MUST listen to Shpongle now and understand why Shpongle is an artist to see in the festival scene today.
